Resurfacing

Dear Readers,

I completely understand the wait for another Miracle-Josette post is way overdue.  The last post I made was in the beginning of the year of 2020, and man oh man what a year it was. To everyone remembrance COVID-19 pandemic stormed the world and our nation over the course of the year and still ongoing. Many of families across the world lost loved ones and had to learn unexpectedly how to cope with their lost.  On Friday March 13, 2021 was my last day working in a public environment for that year due to immediately being placed on telework. For many it was a major inconvenience, in addition to an adjustment unexpected. We had to learn how to cope with working at home, as well as remaining at home as much as possible. Let’s not forget, if you are a parent the adjustment of conducting homeschooling may have been a challenged too.  At times you wondered could thereof been some kind of preparation for what we had to endure. And to answer that question, I can say “I do think so”.

My experience during the pandemic was good……honestly. I was able to adapt to the situation wonderfully despite the world was undergoing so much turmoil. I will admit or I should say I do believe the world needed a break from our traditional routines. Now I will acknowledge there were plenty of other professions that did not have the same opportunity to be able to remain home and cope with the virtual world in order to interact. However, the need to isolate ourselves to control this serious matter was necessary.

So as the year continued and the seasons changed, the telework experience was great and highly convenient; in which brings me to the current year of 2021.  During 2021 my profession implemented a return to work plan which was a major adjustment for so many. And why you may ask. Well, everyone started to enjoy, cope and manage working at home. Colleagues viewed the secure safety of being in their own environment as a foremost reward for providing efficient and effective work. I will admit, I do agree with it. My work performance never suffered even though others may not have been able to say the same. Regardless, this COVID-19 pandemic has proven how selfish we as a nation and world-wide because so many people refuse to participate in making things better such as getting vaccinated or even wearing a simple mask in public. Although many of states implemented mask mandates, also a lot of the same states removed their restriction of wearing masks in public.

Until we as a nation can work together consistently to make this country and the world safe again I predict COVID will be an on-going issue for many many years to come. So to answer numerous people question, “will we ever go back to how things use to be?” And the answer to it is, “No”. Especially if we cannot work together to make it better.

It’s a pleasure reconnecting with blogging again. I cannot promise daily post reports will come, but I will say that I do plan on posting more often and being more vocal. Real talk, I have so many things to share and I can’t wait.

Thank you very reading my blog.

Yours truly,

Miracle-Josette

Fashion Friday Alert VII

Miracle - Josette presents Black with a pop of Red...........

This Fashion Friday Alert is comes with a "Girl Next Door" appearance. The black on black hoodie sweat suit set and pop of red bra comes from Victoria Secret line. On the left side for the hoodie and pants is "Victoria Secret" signature. This set is very comfortable and I was purchased for my last month flight travel before the Corona Virus rapid spread.

The shoes are Jordan XI Retro Low Varsity Bred. If you are familiar with my love for sneakers you would also know "Jordan XI" are my favorite style in the brand. I have multiple color Jordan XI's; however this set matched well with the color combination. I completed this look with two Louis Vuitton bags, one is the traditional tote which is a fall 2019 season tote and a weekend bag with embedded monogram logo. Now the weekend bag was purchased online from a Poshmark vendor. I'm not sure of it authenticity but regardless this bag is gorgeous and real or fake it looks lovely in my collection. Thank you to the seller because once I laid eyes on this bag it became my routine weekend bag.

Fashion Friday Alert VI

Miracle-Josette presents Wedding Attire...…….
Outside of my own wedding attire 👰 I had the pleasure of attending a wedding for a remarkable couple. This couple reinstated the meaning of "if you have a love let it go, if it don't come back to you, then it wasn't yours in the beginning." This wedding celebrated a couple that was once married and after ten (10) long years divorced, they rekindle their love and remarried on the exact date their first marriage was finalized. Talk about a true love story to share.

Well, my wedding attire was capturing the wedding theme colors....brown. Honestly, I looked in my closet and this is the only brown associated dress I had LOL. So, this is what I wore from Dolce & Gabbana line. Now I purchased this dress years ago and cannot provide the exact link for this dress; however here are some similar Dolce & Gabbana dresses available. Now, this print is Tortoise print.

My jacket is from the famous FashionNova brand, which is known to be the go to online store for in style fashionable trends.

My shoes are Christian Louboutin, so of course I used the pop of the red bottom to accent the color scheme.

Lastly, my bag is an AUTHENTIC Chanel from CHANEL This lovely accessory is a Boy Medium Gold Hardware Black Caviar Leather Cross Body/Shoulder bag. For a smaller yet similar style please click Boy Bag.

Here are some more pictures of me wearing this dress from different angles.
In theses photos I added a pearl Chanel necklace to the look.

Woman Crush Wednesday VI

Oprah Winfrey

oprah 1

(born Orpah Gail Winfrey); January 29, 1954) is an American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011 in Chicago.tht5p9mxm8 Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she was the richest African American of the 20th century and North America's first black multi-billionaire, and has been ranked the greatest black philanthropist in American history. She has also been sometimes ranked as the most influential woman in the world.
Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and later raised in inner-city Milwaukee. She has stated that she was molested during her childhood and early teens and became pregnant at 14; her son was born prematurely and died in infancy. th4dtx7zmrWinfrey was then sent to live with the man she calls her father, Vernon Winfrey, a barber in Tennessee, and landed a job in radio while still in high school. By 19, she was a co-anchor for the local evening news. Winfrey's often emotional, extemporaneous delivery eventually led to her transfer to the daytime talk show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company and became internationally syndicated.
Credited with creating a more intimate confessional form of media communication, Winfrey popularized and revolutionized the tabloid talk show genre pioneered by Phil Donahue. Through this medium, Winfrey broke 20th-century taboos and allowed LGBT people to enter the mainstream through television appearances.oprah 2 In 1994, she was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame.
By the mid-1990s, Winfrey had reinvented her show with a focus on literature, self-improvement, mindfulness and spirituality. Though she was criticized for unleashing a confession culture, promoting controversial self-help ideas, and having an emotion-centered approach, she has also been praised for overcoming adversity to become a benefactor to others. Winfrey had also emerged as a political force in the 2008 presidential race, delivering about one million votes to Barack Obama in the razor close 2008 Democratic primary. In 2013, Winfrey was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama th and honorary doctorate degrees from Duke and Harvard. In 2008, she formed her own network, Oprah Winfrey Network.
Oprah's Angel Network
In 1998, Winfrey created the Oprah's Angel Network, a charity that supported charitable projects and provided grants to nonprofit organizations around the world. Oprah's Angel Network raised more than $80,000,000 ($1 million of which was donated by Jon Bon Jovi). Winfrey personally covered all administrative costs associated with the charity, so 100% of all funds raised went to charity programs. In May 2010, with Oprah's show ending, the charity stopped accepting donations and was shut down.

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Oprah created the Oprah Angel Network Katrina registry which raised more than $11 million for relief efforts. Winfrey personally gave $10 million to the cause. Homes were built in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama before the one-year anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
South Africa
Main article: Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls
In 2004, Winfrey and her team filmed an episode of her show, Oprah's Christmas Kindness, in which Winfrey travelled to South Africa to bring attention to the plight of young children affected by poverty and AIDS. During the 21-day trip, Winfrey and her crew visited schools and orphanages in poverty-stricken areas, and distributed Christmas presents to 50,000 children, with dolls for the girls and soccer balls for the boys, and school supplies. Throughout the show, Winfrey appealed to viewers to donate money to Oprah's Angel Network for poor and AIDS-affected children in Africa. From that show alone, viewers around the world donated over $7,000,000. Winfrey invested $40 million and some of her time establishing the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Henley on Klip south of Johannesburg, South Africa. The school set over 22 acres, opened in January 2007 with an enrollment of 150 pupils (increasing to 450) and features state-of-the-art classrooms, computer and science laboratories, a library, theatre, and beauty salon. Nelson Mandela praised Winfrey for overcoming her own disadvantaged youth to become a benefactor for others. Critics considered the school elitist and unnecessarily luxurious. Winfrey rejected the claims, saying: "If you are surrounded by beautiful things and wonderful teachers who inspire you, that beauty brings out the beauty in you." Winfrey, who has no surviving biological children, described maternal feelings towards the girls at Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. Winfrey teaches a class at the school via satellite.

Loyalty Doesn't Stop When a Friendship Ends

Loyalty

Friendship and loyalty go hand-in-hand but it seems like many are still confused about the qualities of a “true friend.” A friend is someone that you can trust with your emotions, that cares for you, and wouldn’t do anything to hurt you in any way.
Many may think that this conversation is common sense but as I get older, common sense isn’t common for some people. There are still people that don’t know the true meaning of loyalty and friendship.
If a friendship is over, it should mean just that. No one should take the time to create drama or have such hatred over someone you supposedly could care less about.
When a friendship ends for whatever reason, there are still certain lines you just don’t cross. Regardless of how you feel about the person, respect goes a long way and should be taken into consideration while moving forward.
It’s one thing to talk sh*t about the former friend that has confided in you, loved you, and been there for you but to tear them down with lies is unbelievable. Loyalty doesn’t end when you stop being friends, keep the same energy you had before. If you break the trust after the friendship, then you were never friends to begin with… PERIOD!
How would you handle the former friend that betrayed you after the friendship was done?
